February Connect and Grow Dinner
Ramp up in 2010 with the SBA, SCORE, and WEO
The Small Business Administration and SCORE are partnering with WEO for our monthly Connect and Grow networking dinner to enlighten entrepreneurs on how to succeed in business in Oregon and Washington. Meet fellow entrepreneurs and learn how you can take your business to the next level in 2010.
Special speakers from the SBA and SCORE
Harry DeWolf, Director of the Small Business Administration in Portland, oversees and promotes lending and business development assistance, a network of 21 Small Business Development Centers, six SCORE chapters, and one Women's Business Center across Oregon and Washington.
Patti Fellas is the Small Business Banking manager for a local community bank. She has been a member of SCORE since 2006. She is also a SCORE instructor and provides individual counseling to small business clients.
Topical Tables Staffed by SCORE
SCORE volunteers will lead discussions about their business experience and industry knowledge in the following areas before and after our speakers:
- Media/Graphics
- Marketing
- Human Resources
- Finance
- Sales and Marketing
Be sure to arrive early. You will be able to choose which table you want to sit at when you first arrive. After our speakers finish, you'll get a chance to change tables and hear about another topic of interest.
** Dinner will be buffet style before the event this month so that our speakers and topics leaders have as much time with attendees as possible.

Harry DeWolf
Prior to joining the SBA in 2005, Mr. DeWolf served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of AEC Technical Publications, a former SBA 8 (a) business. AEC ranked in the top 10 in sales volume among Oregon minority owned businesses for three consecutive years while establishing international offices in Germany and Canada. Harry DeWolf holds an MBA in International Business from National University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Operations Management and Pre-law from Oregon State University.
Patti Fellas
Patti has over 30 years experience in banking, primarily in small business lending. Currently, she is the Small Business Banking manager with a local community bank. She has held many positions in both large regional banks and small community banks supporting lending activities, including working directly with Small Businesses to assess financing needs. Patti has been a member of SCORE since 2006. She is an instructor for a SCORE class and, as time allows, provides individual counseling to Small Business clients
